Linda Davis was referred to HFLA of Northeast Ohio by her case manager at Benjamin Rose. Linda had got caught up in the vicious cycle of payday lending when she had to take out 2 payday loans to help her son with bond money. Payday lenders prey on desperate situations at a very high cost for the borrower. Linda struggled to make the loan payments and could barely buy food for herself. Her daughter would buy her groceries and take her to the hunger center for food.
HFLA was able to help Linda get out of over $2,000 in predatory debt and get her her life back.
Linda Davis is such an incredibly giving person, that when she received her $1200 COVID stimulus check from the government in 2020, she gave $200 of it to HFLA of Northeast Ohio.
