An emergency standard loan to support federal employees who are affected by the government shutdown that began on October 1, 2025.

Qualifications:

  • Live in Cuyahoga, Lake, Lorain, Geauga, Mahoning, Medina, Portage, Summit, or Trumbull County.
  • Are a current federal government employee.
  • Have an income with the ability to repay the loan monthly once the government shutdown is over.

Other important things to know:

  • This loan will cover up to $1,500
  • Required documents to be submitted include:
    • Emergency application
    • Current government ID
    • Bank statements
    • Most recent tax filing
    • Self pulled credit report (from freecreditscore.com)
  • No guarantor required
  • Repayment starts on the 15th day of the month after payment is reinstated
